In the current context of fast urbanization, climate change and growing resource scarcity, efficient resource allocation and utilization are crucial for sustainable architecture education and practice. This review investigates the importance of the efficient utilization of resources in architecture education, architecture infrastructure, sustainable architecture and heritage conservation. It addresses the distribution of academic, human, physical and digital resources to improve the quality of teaching and learning in architecture schools. The review also examines sustainable use of resources that include efficient use of land, energy, water and materials, principles of circular economy, resource efficient building design and life-cycle thinking. Moreover, it emphasises adaptive use and heritage conservation as options to sustain cultural assets in a way that results in the least possible environmental impact. Last, emerging technologies, such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), Digital Twins, Artificial Intelligence, and smart campus management are explored, as well as policy recommendations for resilient, resource-efficient and sustainability-oriented architectural education and practice.
